The Collector's Edition

This collector's edition of Revealing Mexico (2010), commemorating Mexico's Bicentennial of Independence (1810) and Centennial of the Revolution (1910), has been drawn from the first copies of the first printing in an edition of 200 and has been specially produced in the following manner:

The cover is wrapped in a traditional Mexican rebozo from the state of San Luis Potosí. The ikat fabric is made of 100% cotton and has been handwoven on a treadle loom.

The case (which transforms into the book's stand) is made of 100% natural materials and has been handcrafted and designed by artist Alberto Valenzuela in the village of San Agustín Etla, Oaxaca, using totomoxtle (maize husk) fibers from the region.

The design and production of these special features were supervised by the book's authors, John Mack and Susanne Steines.

Each book has been hand signed by the authors.
